We offer a number of convenient options to make your M&T mortgage payments.
Automatic Payments
Pay Once a Month
- Save time and postage.
- Avoid late payments due to mailing delays.
If paying once a month works for you, have your payment automatically drafted on your choice of dates. Payments can be scheduled up to the end of your grace period (typically 15 days after your payment due date).
Or Spread Your Payments Out.
- Time your mortgage payment with when you get paid. Are you paid weekly or bi-weekly? Have one quarter of your payment drafted every seven days. Or pay half of your monthly payment every 14 days
- Save on interest.听Depending on the payment schedule you choose, you鈥檒l potentially pay off your loan sooner and save on interest.
- Make your payments more manageable.听If you prefer you can simply make 鈥渉alf payments鈥 twice a month, on the days you pick, so long as your entire payment is received by the end of your grace period (typically 15 days after your payment due date.)

Make your payment before听the grace period ends.
If your grace period ends on a weekend or holiday, you have until the next business day to make a payment and avoid a late fee.

You can make your mortgage payments in the following ways:
Online Payments.听Visit onlinebanking.mtb.com. If you haven鈥檛 already created a User ID and Passcode, you will need to do so by selecting 鈥淓nroll Now.鈥 Learn more about how to听enroll in online banking (PDF).
Note: you do not need an M&T Bank checking or savings account to make an online payment鈥搚ou can use a checking or savings account at any financial institution. If you are already enrolled in M&T Online Banking, click the 'Make an Online Payment' button above.
Payments by Mail.听P.O. Box 62182, Baltimore, MD 21264-2182. Be sure to include your coupon with your first payment to M&T. If you鈥檝e misplaced your coupon, write your new M&T mortgage account number on your check. Payments should be made payable to M&T Bank
Automatic Deduction.听You can automatically deduct your mortgage payment from the account of your choice through M&T by visiting听. To enroll in non-monthly deductions, follow the instructions at听mtb.com/achenroll

You can sign up for automatic deduction of your mortgage payments using听. Log in, navigate to your mortgage account information, select the Payments section in the top navigation bar, and then choose Auto Draft Payment.
Yes, you can cancel your automatic payments in a variety of ways:
1. If you鈥檙e enrolled in听monthly听automatic payments, log in to听听to cancel online or call us at听1-800-724-2224
2. If you鈥檙e enrolled in the听Flexible Payment Program, call us at听1-800-724-2224
3. If you鈥檙e enrolled with an听online or third-party bill pay provider, please reach out to that provider to cancel the service
Note: If you choose to call us to cancel this service, you鈥檒l need to call no later than three business days prior to the scheduled deduction.
A late fee will not be charged if the payment is received the next business day after the weekend or holiday.
Online payments听may take 24 鈥 48 hours to be deducted from your account, but will post to your mortgage same day. Please allow 24 hours for your payment to be visible on your mortgage account
Phone payments听may take up to 48 hours to deduct from your account, but will be posted to your mortgage same day. Please allow 24 hours for your payment to be visible on your mortgage account
